Characteristics of Chemical Reactions

The important characteristics of chemical reactions are:

  • Evolution of a gas : When sodium reacts with water, bubbles of hydrogen gas is seen .
  • Formation of a precipitate.: When a silver nitrate solution reacts with sodium chloride solution it gives precipitate of silver chloride and sodium nitrate solution .
